Mug

Sublimation is a heat-transfer process that uses high temperatures and pressure to embed dye into materials like ceramic, creating a smooth, lasting image. For my project, I designed a mug featuring my dog surrounded by butterflies—a personal and joyful image that represents comfort and transformation. I used a heat press set between 375–400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 3 minutes to transfer the design. The final product turned out nicely, with the image clearly visible, but I wish the colors were a bit more vibrant, as the result looks slightly faded. Despite that, I’m proud of how it turned out and love having something so meaningful in a functional form.
