Editing Photos in Lightroom
Capturing a Hawaiian sunset from a hotel balcony, I used Lightroom to explore how color influences mood. In one version, I enhanced the colors to evoke tranquility and calmness, reflecting the serene beauty of the scene. In another, I made the image darker with less color, introducing a somber, stormy atmosphere. These edits demonstrate how altering color can profoundly shift the emotional impact of an image, transforming a peaceful sunset into a more dramatic and introspective moment, and revealing the powerful role of visual elements in shaping our perceptions.
Lighting

Split Lighting
I applied the split lighting technique to highlight one side of the subject's face, creating a striking contrast that enhances his strength and sharpens his features. This approach adds depth and intensity, showcasing the powerful impact of light in visual storytelling.

Under Lighting
I used underlighting by placing the light directly beneath the subject's head, creating a dark and dramatic effect. This technique evokes an unsettling mood, enhancing the intensity and fearfulness of the image.

45 Degree Lighting
In this portrait, I used 45-degree lighting, positioning the light at an angle to create a shadow triangle on one side of the subject’s face. This approach results in a balanced yet dramatic mood, enhancing the depth and intensity of the image
